In the middle of Marcelina Ave in Old Torrance, the World War II Store stands guard, a time machine to an era when the entire world was at war, when extraordinary Americans fought for freedom.
This is the real stuff. As you walk through the entryway, past the books for sale, the shirts and caps, and if you're lucky, the WWII army jeep, you'll be astounded by the depth of the store, and the overwhelming amount of memorabilia, the faint musk of genuine military artifacts.
Rows and rows of books, posters, showcases of medals, buttons, patches and military pins, flags, uniforms and caps hang from the ceiling, ...just an unbelievable amount of WWII items.
Part museum, part surplus, the WW II store is a must stop for collectors, students, and everyone who wishes to honor our brave Americans who sacrificed for freedom and liberty.

I come occasionally to this store whenever I'm in the area and by far, its always the highlight of my day. Perhaps its because I'm a WW2 nut but despite this store not being all that big, I could spend literally hours just browsing through old books, trying on uniforms and just looking at all the stuff they have. Much of the products that are being sold are reproductions, but there are still quite a few actual WW2 artifacts that one would be hard-pressed to find anywhere in these parts. They receive shipments from time to time so if you're looking for something in particular, make a request with Josh, the young fellow in the bomber jacket manning the counter, and he'll give you a call should that particular item or shipment arrive.
I learned that the WWII Store also sells and rents out uniforms to Hollywood and other film/TV studios. One wouldn't expect that coming from a small store like this, but that's what they do. On a nice day, you'll see a Willy's jeep parked outside the store so that's an added bonus.
This is a fascinating store so if you're anywhere in the area of Old Torrance, drop by and see what they have. You won't regret it!
